Gary has been playing the saxophone for over 20 years playing in large soul bands, rock bands and previous duos in Suffolk and Oxfordshire.
His playing is likened to a lead guitarist and he describes himself as a frustrated guitarist, hence the unusual instrumentals! Gary also plays a few numbers on the keyboard when the feeling takes him.
His energyand enthusiasm on stage is unmatched in any local duo. He is keen to use the microphone when allowed to do so by Julia and relies on his dry sense of humour to keep the crowd going for the duration.
Julia is a relative newcomer to the music scene with Break in the Middle being her first musical outlet. Her powerful blues and rock suited voice fits perfectly with Gary ’s musical preferences. A natural performer on stage, her humour and exuberance compliment Gary ’s off the wall approach.
